Identity
This is an interesting topic and I have been thinking to do a podcast with Arata on her dissertation since while ago.
I think this is a common issue among most of the overseas students, especially those have been studying and living in another country for years. After living in another country with a totally different culture background, many will feel 'foreign' when they go back to their own country. In this sense, are they losing their identity, or just the feeling of not getting used to it?
Arata has been living and studying in England for almost seven years. Ian, who was in the BBC episode, also joined this talk. And as one of the oversea students, I have lived in England and Japan for the last few years. So in this podcast three of us share our point of view on the topic of ‘identity’.
